New In: We Are Adventurers #1: Amsterdam

"This is a black and white zine I made all about my adventures. I made it in 24 hours, as part of the 24 Hour Zine Thing project. Contents include:
  • All about a recent trip to Amsterdam
  • Seeing Kate Nash
  • Learning to be an Aunty
  • Starting the recovery process after being in a psychiatric hospital
  • Books I have read recently
  • I decorated the zine with my own drawings as well as pictures from Amsterdam, stickers, stamps and other bits and bobs :)
A5 sized zine with 28 pages including a peach coloured paper cover, all held together with two staples."

New in: Sense/Memory

"Sense/Memory is a collection of essays, collage work, and satirical musings that attempt to dissect the fine art world as it transitions into pure digitalization.

Alternative Currents Collective is a close-knit group of like-minded new media artists, filmmakers, and musicans based in Los Angeles, CA - dedicated to the goal of merely existing. Though the actual collective fluctuates in numbers, at its core are Christina Santa Cruz and Daniel Watkins who create both collaboratively and independently under the Alternative Currents umbrella."

New in: Pataville

Guy Mayman makes collage, sculpture and drawing which explores the intersection of culture, commerce, government and desire. He has completed a two year residency at de Ateliers in Amsterdam and a two year Daiwa scholarship in Tokyo, where he continues to visit and work regularly. He produces a zine called Pataville, which uses montage to explore the idea of cultural false memory, architectural utopia and suburban psychosis.
